  • How do I report a missing instrument?

    If you’ve already registered for your free account, simply click on ‘List missing instrument’ to get started. If not, register here for your free account to list your missing instrument.

  • What information do I need to list a missing instrument?

    Description of instrument (as much information as possible is best), Type of instrument, Colour, Unique Markings, Serial Number, Location when missing, Date missing, Images

  • When will my post become available?

    After you’ve created your listing, your post will be put into approval stage. Once approved, your listing will be available on the site.

  • Can I edit my listing?

    Of course, you can make edits to your post whenever you need to. Simply log into your account, and head to your dashboard where all your active missing and found instrument listings will be available. Click on the ‘edit advert’ button and make all the changes you need.

  • Can I remove my listing?

    Of course, you can remove your post whenever you need to. Simply log into your account, and head to your dashboard where all your active missing and found instrument listings will be available. Click on the ‘delete advert’ button and your post will be removed.

  • Does it cost anything to register?

    It costs you nothing. Our online lost and stolen instrument database is free for all users.

  • I have found an instrument, what do I do?

    If you’ve already registered for your free account, simply click on ‘List found instrument’ to get started. If not, register here for your free account to list your found instrument.

    If you’ve found someone else’s instrument you can also take a look through our missing instruments list to see if it matches any lost/stolen instruments on our database. If you’ve found a match, simply contact the owner to let them know.

  • My instrument has been found but I’ve already made a claim with Allianz Musical Insurance, what do I do?

    If you’re an Allianz Musical Insurance customer, and your claim has been made but it has not yet been paid out, then you will be contacted directly if your instrument is found or if there is any other information on your instrument. Once you have been reunited with your instrument you will need to close and remove your missing instrument listing and contact Allianz Musical Insurance.

    However, if you claim has been made and it has been paid out, then Allianz Musical Insurance will have ownership of this listing and will contact you to discuss the next steps of returning the instrument to you.

    If you are insured by another insurer, contact them directly to discuss next steps.

  • Will I be contacted if my instrument is found?

    If another user finds your instrument or has information about its whereabouts, they can contact you and you will be notified. Log into your account to check your recent messages.

  • My instrument has been stolen, what should I do?

    Immediately inform the police – Let the police know as soon as possible so they can help you and give you a Crime Number – you may need this to make claim on your insurance policy.

    Be proactive – Create a missing instrument listing here to share with your fellow musicians. You can also create an info sheet with pictures, instrument details, contact details and the Crime Number. Hand it out to local music and pawn shops (in case someone tries to sell it on) and even attach it to posts at the local train station and bus stops.

    Use the power of the web – share you’re missing instrument listing and put a post up across all your social networks to get the widest coverage possible. Also keep an eye on websites where your instrument might be put up to be resold (e.g. eBay and Gumtree are a good start).

  • My instrument has been lost/stolen, how do I make a claim on my policy?

    If your instrument has been lost/stolen and you’re an Allianz Musical Insurance customer, you can give us a call on 0344 391 4051 or email us at mi.claims@allianz.co.uk to get your claim started. You can also head to our website to find out more.

  • How can I report a fake/fraudulent post?

    If you believe that any listing are fake or fraudulent you should report them immediately. On the listing details you will find a ‘Report Listing’ button. Simply click on this button and provide details as to why the listing should be removed.

  • Someone else has created a listing of my instrument, what should I do?

    If you believe that someone else has created a listing of your instrument, you should report them immediately. On the listing details you will find a ‘Report Listing’ button. Simply click on this button and provide details as to why the listing should be removed.
